Training Company The Training Company of the Chattanooga Civic Ballet was formed in 1989
for the early focusing of selected dancers toward future participation in the
Civic Ballet. The students invited into the Training Company show both gifts
of natural talent and the desire to live up to their potential. Membership involves additional classes to
build strength and stamina necessary for pre-pointe work. |

The Civic Ballet of Chattanooga, a not-for-profit organization, is based
at the Massari-Wood Dance Center in East Brainerd. The purpose of this
company is to provide a semi-professional civic ballet organization which
will give talented area dancers the opportunities for performance which they
would otherwise have to leave Chattanooga to experience. It also provides a chance to educate the
general public to the broad spectrum of ballet and to give them a chance to
view productions that would not be available locally. |
